FOLK / COUNTRY / POP

Recording Artist

POET, AND SONG WRITER

With a touch of nostalgia for the late 60s and early 70s, David Christian's rhythmic guitar playing and gentle and tasteful finger picking style combined with pleasant (if not somewhat gravely) vocal arrangements are reminiscent of the old troubadours like Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston and even an older and wiser Bob Dylan.  David's origional songs are often in the stlye of John Prine, Rambling Jack Elliott, Billy Joe Shaver, Guy Clark, Steve Earl,  and Townes Van Zadt.  His extensive repertoire of over 500 songs includes origional and traditional music plus the music of  Jimmy Buffett and Utah P. Phillips, with a pinch of the pop, rock and country of the Eagles,  Eric Claptom, Garth Brooks, The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison and other modern and traditional word‑smiths and musicians.

If you crave and love straight forward good original, as well as tastefully arranged familiar music, than you will be pleasantly surprised and happily rewarded spending an evening with song writer, poet and recording artist, David Christian.
